ScotTLanta Rides is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Scott Ellison. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit scottlantarides.com, request a quote, book a reserved ride, join a waitlist, leave a review, or otherwise contact Scott.

The website and checkout are powered by Shopify. The booking calendar on the site is provided by a third-party scheduling app. Those companies process information on our behalf so reservations and payments can be completed.

By using this website or booking a ride, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.

Who we are

ScotTLanta Rides is an owner-operated reserved airport transportation service between North Georgia and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), with custom quotes available for other Georgia cities. Scott Ellison drives every ride. There is no dispatcher and no team of drivers.

This is a mobile service. There is no public storefront or office address.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

Contact details — name, email address, and phone number.
Trip details — pickup and drop-off locations, city, terminal (Domestic North, Domestic South, or International), dates and times, flight number, passenger count, luggage notes, child ages if a car seat is discussed, and other notes you provide when you book or request a quote.
Payment information — processed by Shopify and its payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers. You may also pay in the car with Tap to Pay or cash.
Reviews and messages — the content of emails, quote requests, waitlist notes, and reviews you submit.
Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar information collected automatically through the website, cookies, and Shopify.

How we use it

We use this information to:

confirm and carry out your reservation;
meet you at the right curb or address, including using a flight number when you provide one;
process payment, refunds, and optional gratuity;
answer questions, send booking confirmations, and follow up after a ride;
notify you if you joined the luxury waitlist;
post a public review only after Scott reviews it;
improve the website and keep bookings secure;
comply with law and protect against fraud or misuse.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade passenger lists.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run the service:

Shopify — website hosting, checkout, and related store tools. Shopify’s consumer privacy information is at shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users.
The booking calendar provider — to hold appointment times so two rides are not booked in the same slot.
Payment providers — to process cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Tap to Pay.
Email and communications tools — to send confirmations and replies.
Authorities when required by law, or in connection with a legal claim.

Because this is a one-driver service, Scott Ellison is the person who sees your booking details and drives the trip.

Cookies and similar tools

The site may use cookies and similar technologies for basic operation, checkout, and (where enabled) analytics or advertising through Shopify. You can control cookies in your browser. Checkout and booking may not work correctly if cookies are blocked.

How long we keep it

We keep reservation and contact records as long as needed to complete the ride, handle cancellations or refunds, meet tax and legal requirements, and resolve questions. We then delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.

Your choices

You may email bookings@scottlantarides.com to ask what information we have, to correct it, or to request that we delete it, subject to records we must keep for legal, tax, or dispute reasons. If you have a Shopify customer account, you can also review information there. To opt out of promotional email, use the unsubscribe link in the message. We may still send transactional messages about a booking you made.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.

Children

This website is not directed at children. A person under 18 may ride only when accompanied by an adult 21 or older, as described in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website.

Security

No website or payment method is perfectly secure. We use Shopify and standard payment tools to help protect information in transit and at rest. Please do not send full card numbers by email.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version on this page and changing the “Last updated” date. The version posted when you book is the version that applies to that reservation.
